As the assigned photographer for Journal Direct Matin, I documented the Seine River flooding in Paris in 2016. My objective was to capture the extent of the flooding, its effects on the city, and the response of the community during this challenging time.
I navigated the streets of Paris, capturing images that reflected the rising water levels, the submerged areas, and the impact on infrastructure and landmarks. Through my lens, I aimed to convey the magnitude of the situation and the sense of urgency that permeated the city.
In addition to capturing the physical effects of the flooding, I focused on documenting the human aspect of the disaster. I captured images of residents and business owners affected by the floodwaters, showcasing their resilience, determination, and efforts to protect their properties. These photographs aimed to highlight the strength and unity of the community in the face of adversity.
